You know that really bad movie with Cuba Gooding jr in which he get's booked on a gay cruise? That happened to us on Friday. I was on expedia trying to look up hotels and read the summary for a hotel and it had normal stuff written and it looked like a good deal. 4 star hotel, good area, internet access, free parking, free breakfast. Gays welcomed.
We booked it. Then I decided to look up the hotel on the internet. I see two words.... "EXCLUSIVELY GAY" and i'm not talking about being a lesbian .....when you look at the photos, it's all men (the guests are all male, the staff are all gay males...no females in this hotel). Their advertisement looked like a calvin klein ad with a guy coming out of the water shirtless, ripped. The photos of the guests had a lot of shirtless, ripped, hairless, well oiled guys in tiny swim trunks/speedos. For the few that weren't ripped, they had on mesh shirts, or wifebeaters or sleeveless tops. There was also a photo of a guy cannonballing into the hotel pool, naked. On my vacation, I don't want to be surrounded by naked guys. I don't want to be the only girl!(Dennis didn't want to be left alone while I go get breakfast, either). Dennis was like "we would have go in and out of the backdoor...literally".
Management at the hotel was understanding and let us cancel without charges.
