This past week, it was my first time stepping on a scale in a long time and I weighed in at 139 lbs and now I'm wearing a size 8 instead of a size 4. This means that at some point, I gained about 29 lbs in the past 6 years.
That was my wake up call to start eating healthy, and do more exercise again. In addition, I need to make sure I can fit into my bridesmaid dress for Em's wedding.
My coworker told me that she had done weight watchers before and it worked so I signed up on Wednesday night for the three month program (the online version).
I think my problem is portion size. I found that at some point, I got really lazy and started buying fast food for lunch. Since fast food portions are so big, it must've stretched my stomach over the years and now, when I finish a meal, i don't feel full. So, my goal is to manage my portions, get off of my butt and do more "exercise" and get in the mindset of a healthier lifestyle.
I started doing squats, and some jogging/walking. I also did some Dance Central today.
I've been eating more fruit and salads, and we no longer cook with red meat in our house. (the outcome is softer stools and I find that I'm poo-ing more often).
I had to cheat today because I had to go for "high tea" for a friend's bachelorette and I also ate a slice of cake for a friend's birthday yesterday. However, I said "no" to timbits. Yay! On a sidenote, I came home on Thursday and Dennis had bought and finished SIX donuts from Tim Hortons. He said it wasn't so bad because two of the donuts were honey crullers.
Let's see where this goes.
